Native Fish Keepers, Inc. is currently accepting letters of interest for one (1) vacancy on
the Board of Directors. This term is for three (3) years. The purpose of the corporation is
to make mitigation and fish conservation efforts on Flathead Lake financially sustainable.

Individuals appointed to the board must have expertise in the field of business,
commercial fish or food preparation and sales. Must have interest in the native fisheries
resources of the Flathead Reservation and Flathead Lake and have expertise in the field
of fisheries or related natural resources and be an enrolled CSKT member.

It is expected that there will be no more than two (2) board meetings per year. These
positions are not compensated, but food is provided for meetings.

Tribal Council policy adopted in March 2007 states:

“An employee of the Confederated Salish and Kootenai who is applying for a
board or committee vacancy is required to submit along with the Letter of
Interest, a letter signed by the immediate supervisor and the Department
Head authorizing the employee to apply for and serve on the board or
committee. Any Tribal employee serving on a board or committee that is not
directly related to the position the person holds in the Tribal organization, is
required to use leave or leavewithoutpay to attend all meetings, participate
in any activity associated with the board or committee, or for any travel
related to the board or committee. Tribal employees are restricted to serving
on no more than one (1) board at any time.”
