As the largest, exclusive firefighter credit union in the nation with $2.0B in assets, we serve over fifty-five thousand members in more than seven hundred fire departments.

Currently, we have an immediate opening for a Graphic Designer to join our team. The Graphic Designer is responsible for creating visual concepts to communicate ideas on our website, social media platforms, and print marketing materials to inspire, inform, and captivate our current and future members.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Meeting and collaborating with business units to determine the message the design should convey, gather any preferences, and advise on strategies to reach target audience.
• Create visual messages that adhere to the Firefighters First brand and creative guidelines.
• Plan and create motion graphics and video for online/digital distribution. Drafting preliminary design which includes illustrating concept by designing rough layout of art and copy regarding arrangement, size, type size and style, and related aesthetic concepts.
• Creating selected design, preparing finished copy and art, and finalizing layout.
• Ensuring final graphics and layouts are visually appealing, on-brand, and represents a local feel.
• Producing final design and review for accuracy, quality, and completeness.

Basic Qualifications:

• Education: BA/BFA in Graphic Design or other relevant media/arts field, or equivalent
• Financial services and/or credit union work experience.
• Four years’ experience in commercial design.
• Advanced Experience with Adobe CC (Illustrator, Photoshop, Premier, After Effects, InDesign) Figma and or Adobe XD, Web Designs, Multimedia, and WordPress
• Understanding of Motion-Graphic design, visual storytelling and video editing.
• Experience working with Css3 and HTML5 (Familiarity with JavaScript a bonus)
• Experience working with WordPress templates.
• Experience with using Apple products (Iphone, Macbook)
