Position Summary: Responsible for the set-up and tear down of all injection molding machines and all associated equipment, ranging from simple to elaborate to complicated processes. This includes providing assistance on the development and maintenance of the molding process, preforming start-ups and operating presses and auxiliary equipment as needed.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support the QMS system by ensuring compliance with applicable regulations through proper documentation and record keeping.
- Ensure all product and processes meet quality standards as defined by the quality control plan, as well as production metrics as defined in the job packet.
- Follow all QS/ISO requirements for working in a cleanroom.
- Promote and support idea creation for new methods and procedures designed to improve operations, minimize operating costs and facilitate greater utilization of labor and materials.
- Review work instructions prior to the start of any job and ensure they are followed.
- Locate, safely transport, and stores the injection mold in accordance with established guidelines and procedure.
- Set, start, and changeover injection molds consistent with process control capabilities and quoted standards.
- Prepare each work-cell and all necessary tools, components, and equipment for production runs or sampling.
- Operate injection molding machines and supporting equipment.
- Set-up and prepares auxiliary/ secondary support equipment as required at the press.
- Monitors presses, sets alarms on machines a troubleshoots processing problems.
- Perform processing operations during development, including DOE’s and window studies.

Qualifications:

- High School Diploma or equivilant.

- Minimum 2 years' recent experience with set-ups and processing on injection molding machines.

- Working knowledge of plastic resins, mold set-up and functions of an injection molding press.

- Working knowledge of and/or previous experience with the sampling process.

- Basic understanding of statistical process controls.

- Must be able to read and interpret control plans, work instructions, work orders, safety material, manufals and all other documents relevant to the position.

Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
