KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Safety, Health, Environment and Community :

• Promote and demonstrate safe behavior at all times and lead by example
• Comply with the site’s standards and procedures in SHEC
• Demonstrate effective performance in achieving agreed SHEC goals in support of the department, site and company standards
• Demonstrates leadership in SHEC through personal behaviors and conversations, and report all SHEC incidents and participate in SHEC initiatives, reviews and investigations
• Take full ownership of responsibility for the safety of all personnel, including you, at Nyrstar Tennessee Mines
• Taking an active role to insure that regulatory obligations and standards are met
• Participate in SHEC initiatives and take responsibility for the safety of all personnel, including yourself at Nyrstar Tennessee Mines
• Provide a positive attitude and work ethic as a member of the team
• Troubleshoot and diagnosis mechanical/electrical issues
• Perform preventative maintenance
• Provide breakdown support
• Service equipment

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE: :

• Ability to change tires, proper understanding of hand tools/pneumatic tools
• Basic knowledge of parts identification
• Ability to learn how to use hose machine to make hoses, proper identification of hose sizes, and able to change hose
• Understanding the basics of fluids that are used on-site (Hyd, Eng oil, Diesel fuel, etc)
• Proper knowledge of installation of common wear items (e.g. v-belts, wipers, light bulbs, etc)
• Ability to work swing shifts and/or weekends/holidays
• Ability to perform proper pre-shift examinations on equipment

• 0-1 years’ of related experience
• Certified Diesel Mechanic or Graduate
• High School Diploma or Equivalent
