JOB SUMMARY
The Manager of Product & Services Deployment is responsible for developing and managing products and services for residential, commercial, and industrial customers across electric service territories. Products and services include demand response, energy efficiency, electric vehicles, battery storage, solar, backup generation, billing and payment options, home warranties, lighting, and other value-added capabilities Entergy may choose to market to customers in the future. This person will be responsible for the overall project management, product and regulatory modeling, commercial development, vendor selection, contract negotiations, contract management, marketing, and developing and managing product financials. This person has primary responsibility for the successful implementation of products and services within the Operating Company which include vendor management and oversite. This position will report to the Vice President of Customer Service within the Operating Company. Additionally, this role will provide internal and external outreach regarding products and services. Furthermore, this person will serve as an expert witness for the Company on an as-needed basis and will run external stakeholder engagement and education meetings as it pertains to products and services. Lastly, this person will represent Entergy’s interests with trade allies. Reporting to this manager will be support staff who manage the day-to-day activities for each product or service offered.

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop and manage products and services for residential, commercial, and industrial customers, including vendor and contract management, product financial performance, contract negotiation, and marketing.
  • Be a champion for Entergy’s Products and Services efforts both inside and outside of the company, promoting collaboration and communication, managing the stakeholder engagement process with regulators, customers, other external parties, and internal groups.
  • Assist with developing and maintaining the internal POV on product costs and capabilities through relationships with vendors and trade allies.
  • Manage product and services results to achieve monthly and annual financial and operational targets.
  • Interface with internal Resource Planning, Legal, Regulatory, Customer Service and other OpCo personnel to reflect penetration levels and scenarios around results to support each utility operating company’s Integrated Resource Planning efforts and regulatory approval process.
  • Serve as the company’s expert witness in various regulatory proceedings related to products and services.
  • Lead the product development organization, including managing staff, mentoring employees, managing budget and P&L responsibilities.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Minimum Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Desired: MBA or other Master's Degree in Business or Engineering

Minimum Experience:
  • 3+ years of business development
  • 3+ years managing people and budgets (directly or indirectly)
  • 3+ years working for an electric utility or working for an energy efficiency or demand response vendor or trade ally
  • Desired:
    • Previous experience as an expert witness in front of a Federal, state, or municipal regulatory body
    • Ability to coach and train others on product management, development, and marketing
    • Strong, demonstrable leadership and communication skills

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Strong commercial background with demonstrable ability to develop business and create new capabilities.
  • Strong communicator both at tactical and strategic levels with experience discussing complex topics in a simple, easy-to-understand way
  • Demonstrated teamwork skills and ability to execute projects in a matrix organization
  • Strong, demonstrated writing and presentation skills
  • Creativity and passion to develop new, innovative products for customers
  • Excellent leadership skills to guide, mentor, and build an organization
  • Demonstrate a clear understanding of the utility regulatory model

Certificates, Licenses, etc.
  • Prefer candidates with experience in business development or a commercial focus
