Description:
Identify, sort handle and process various alloys metals
Requirements:ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Identify or test metals to be sorted by using hand held analyzer, magnets, and/ or other appropriate methods.
- Sort metals to separate nonferrous alloys within their categories and separating from high-grade metals such as hi-temp alloys, Titanium, Red metals, white metals, ferrous and non-ferrous metals
- Place sorted materials into barrels, bins, gaylords pallets or other appropriate containers.
Operate processing equipment, shears, cutters, saws, grinders, puckers, balers, shot blasters or other required equipment.
- Operate shredder, skip steer and baler to compress recyclable materials into bundles or bales.
Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, power lifts, or front-end loaders to load bales, bundles, or other heavy items onto trucks for shipping to smelters, customers or other facilities.
- Become proficient in load pulling, load preparation and truck loading
- Clean working area by sweeping, raking, picking up debris after sorting, or moving barrels and bins.
- Wear and maintain proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times for safety measure
- Basic computer knowledge
- Bilingual preferred
- Perform other tasks as assigned by immediate supervisor
