The Menu Production Dietitian supports the menu customization process in a manner that is accurate, aligns with customer goals, generates high user satisfaction, and maximizes Martin Bros. profitability. Assists in the department mission to gain/maintain senior living/healthcare business through the provision of value-added services.
Expectations:
Customize menus as assigned

  • Develop, produce, analyze and relay menus to clients that align with customer goals, meet regulatory requirements, contractual agreements and nutrition requirements within defined turn-around time.
  • Communicate with staff and customers regarding custom menu needs and details of the projects.
  • Support department initiatives to further enhance menu tool and menu offerings.

Instrumental in supporting base menu development

  • Coordinate various seasonal menu versions along with the therapeutic diets, recipes, product features and other supporting tools.
  • Communicate availability of base menu and documents to customers and internal team.
  • Work with vendors and internal team to identify items which support company goals.

Support customer initiatives as assigned to assist in the marketing efforts of the Senior Living/Healthcare Services department

  • Develop and administer customer education tools and other value-added services.
  • Provide nutrition services support for sales team in the form of onboarding, training, guidance, providing resources and joint customer communications, as requested
  • Support departmental activities as requested such as events, corporate meetings, customer-level activities, etc.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) from a four-year college or university, in Food/Nutrition & Dietetics.
  • Registered and licensed, or RDN eligible, per state requirements.

Skills:

  • Ability to be resourceful in food service arena.
  • Ability to use technology to include experience with a variety of menu and guest card programs as well as Microsoft products (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Ability and interest in learning new technology programs and integration of technology programs.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as recipe quantification, proportions, percentages, related food & labor costs, and nutrient analysis.
  • Customer service oriented attitude. Committed to achieving customers’ expectations.
  • Ability to communicate with customers, vendors and sales staff via email, virtual meetings, phone and in person utilizing strong verbal skills.
  • Ability to interpret state and federal guidelines related to senior living menu planning and food & nutrition services.
  • Valid driver’s license and good driving skills as some travel will be required.
  • Strive for excellence and accuracy in all work.

  • Proactive in identifying and implementing customer solutions.
