The Manager of Health Information Management Services is responsible for directing the activities of the Health Information Management Services Department in the management and maintenance of all patient medical records information, ensuring compliance with all state and federal laws, rules/regulations of licensing agencies and within JCAHO standards for the quality of patient care.
Job requirements include:
Education - Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management/medical records or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience: A minimum of three (3) yeas leadership experience in information management. Thorough knowledge of medical records coding and medical terminology required.
Training: Successful completion of Crisis Management and Service Excellence training must occur within 90 days of employment and prior to assisting in any restraining procedures. CPR certification required.
May be required to work occasional overtime and flexible hours.
