SUMMARY

Under supervision of the Director of Business Implementation, performs medical record filing and management, medical record chart prep, data entry, and scanning paper medical records into the EMR/EHR. Works as part of the business implementation team and prioritizes new practice integrations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Scans and Files patient medical records. Maintains adequate filing and retrieval systems to assure prompt availability of records.

• Scans paper medical records into NextGen EMR/EHR.

• Files all reports received into the appropriate patient chart.

• Maintains the medical record system for accuracy and timeliness of service.

• Updates and verifies patient demographics, making appropriate changes as needed.

• Appropriately documents pertinent information regarding patient accounts utilizing the computer system and medical record.

• Demonstrates proper use of office equipment.

• Recognizes and communicates issues/occurrences utilizing established lines of authority, and assists in identifying ways to resolve variances or unacceptable outcomes

• Knows, understands, incorporates, and demonstrates the CVP Mission, Vision, and Values in behaviors, practices, and decisions.

• Maintains a working knowledge HIPPA regulations, Standards of Conduct, as well as other policies and procedures in order to ensure adherence in a manner that reflects honest, ethical, and professional behavior.

• Maintains confidentiality of information pertaining to clients, physicians, employees, and CVP business.

• Demonstrates general working knowledge of computers and department specific software

• Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

• High school or equivalent
• Preferred 1 year of experience in a medical office or health care facility.

• Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with team members and all members of the integration team. Able to perform a variety of duties characterized by frequent change.

• Must possess a personal presence that is characterized by a sense of honesty, integrity, and caring with the ability to inspire and motivate others to promote the philosophy and goals of CVP.
