Job Title :
Medical Assistant

Responsibilities:

  • Working closely with the physician to prepare patients for examination and procedure
  • Assisting physicians with procedures
  • Prepares and organizes patient physical or EMR charts for assigned providers
  • Instructional guidance for using Ultrasound during interventional procedures
  • Ensure patients medical information is up to date.
  • Education provided for successful completion of competencies
  • Maintaining physician and patient medical equipment and supplies
  • Communication with collaborating providers
  • Reports abnormal findings from lab results.
  • Patient follow-up
  • Supporting the office coordinator and physician liaison
  • Provides clerical and secretarial work associated with patient care.
  • The strong team-supported environment
  • Performs other related duties as required

Desired Qualifications:

  • Minimum Associates Degree, Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Diplomas, professional licenses, certificates, and affiliations preferred:
  • Some familiarity with Electronic Health records.
  • Experience in OB/GYN or Orthopedics a plus

  • Must be able to foster teamwork to accomplish projects
  • Excellent oral, and written communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with an electronic health record system and overall computer knowledge
  • Problem Solving_ Analytical skills, problem identification, identifying alternative courses of action
  • Consistently follows through on assignments. Demonstrates flexibility with job duties
  • Some Amount of independent action is expected with the job title of Medical Assistant;
  • Judgment and discretion are used in making decisions not covered by established procedures

or supervisory direction.

  • Must be able to take initiative and work independently while maintaining regular communication with the manager in a high-volume, expanding practice.
  • Must be able to think creatively in a constantly growing/changing environment.
  • Performs with the highest level of personal and professional ethics.
  • Demonstrates honesty, reliability, and confidentiality.
