Medical Assistant Job at Amer Technology, Inc
Schedule:
- Mon, 6:30am-2:30pm
- Tue, 10:30am-6:30pm
- Wed, 9:30am-5:30pm
- Thur, 9:00am-6:00pm
- Fri, 7:30am-2:30pm
Essential Functions:
- Interviews patients, measures vital signs, such as pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height, and records information on patients' electronic charts.
- Operates electrocardiograph (EKG), and other equipment to administer routine diagnostic test or calls medical facility or department to schedule patients for tests.
- Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients.
- Gives injections or treatments, perform venipunctures and other routine laboratory tests.
- Drapes patients with covering and positions instruments and equipment.
- Cleans and sterilizes instruments.
- Inventories and orders medical supplies and materials.
- Schedules appointments, collects copays, completes insurance forms, and performs assigned administrative tasks.
Work Environment and Physical Demands:
- Clinic Environment, fast paced
- Be able to lift up to 20 lbs as needed
Requried Skills:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
- 2-5 years’ experience as a Medical Assistant or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Must be proficient in the use of an electronic medical record; experience with eClinicalWorks is a plus
- Medical Assistant Certification preferred
- Phlebotomy Certification preferred
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour

- 12 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday

License/Certification:
- BLS Certification (Preferred)
