Basic Qualifications:

Responsibilities:

• Provide engineering and program support on planning, logistics, design, test, evaluation, and systems engineering of research, development, test, and evaluation projects
• Perform design analyses and calculations for mechanical projects and be responsible for the preparation of final detailed working drawings.
• Perform review and quality checks on projects prepared by in-house engineers and architects.
• Conduct various studies, monitors project progress and prepares programmatic reports
• Develop working knowledge of all technical requirements of the projects.
• Communicates with engineering professionals, solution users, and management throughout the solution development cycle.
• Publishes and presents technical papers and abstracts to participate in internal and external technical program reviews.

Preferred experience:

• Knowledge of developing plans to update, migrate, integrate and implement systems that support technical data to include technical manuals
• Ensuring technical documentation is accurate, complete, meets editorial and government specifications and adheres to standards for quality, graphics coverage, format, and style
• Knowledge of AutoCAD or other drafting application such as Solidworks, Fusion 360, HSMWorks, or CAM Works.
• Experience leveraging Python, Matlab, ANSYS in support of engineering projects
• Experience with JAMA and JIRA when applied within an Agile or SCRUM methodology.
• Prior experience supporting Special Operations Forces (SOF) highly desired.

Education:

• Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering
• Bachelor's Degree in a STEM discipline - Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Physics, Math, or other related technical curriculum Security Clearance Requirements:
• 3+ years' experience of systems development lifecycle, electrical engineering principles; DoD 5000, CMMI, ISO 9000, rapid prototyping, and Agile development.

Clearance:

• This position will requires an active DoD Secret clearance or higher.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to be in a stationary position more than 50% of the time
• Must be able to communicate converse and exchange information with peers and senior personnel
• Must be able to report in office (No fulltime telework)
• Constantly operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as calculator, computer printer and copy machine
