Maternal Child Health Associate Job at AmeriCorps
Public Health Solutions (PHS) is seeking a bilingual Maternal Child Health (MCH) AmeriCorps Associate to support operations and client engagement for PHS’ Maternal Child Health Unit. The Maternal Child Health AmeriCorps Associate is responsible for providing programmatic and administrative support for program leadership and staff in Public Health Solutions’ Maternal and Child Health Unit. The Associate’s primary role (60% of the position) will be to support Queens Family Connect, a coordinated intake and referral network for maternal child health services. The MCH Associate will help pregnant and parenting New Yorkers connect to the programs and resources that best fit their needs and interests, predominantly through phone-based interactions. The other 40% of the time, the MCH Associate will help staff the Queens Diaper Bank, the Mobile Market, and the Queens Cribs for Kids programs.
Member Duties : -Screen and connect pregnant and parenting community members via phone call and closed-loop referral technology to PHS and other community partners’ services, including home visiting, resources that impact the social determinants of health, and other parenting services. -Schedule and coordinate community events, workshops, and stakeholder meetings; represent MCH unit in outreach events and stakeholder meetings. -Conduct data entry and carry out routine office activities -Provide in-person staffing for the Queens Diaper Bank, the Mobile Market program, and the Cribs for Kids program. -Handle other duties as assigned.
