Job Description:
Description: The Materials Technician issues supplies to JPS Connection patients and cleans patient care equipment. Position also restocks and distributes designated specialty carts as required.
Typical Duties:
- Cleans, verifies and restocks designated specialty cart drawers as required.
- Cleans patient care equipment and provides equipment to clinical areas upon request.
- Maintains clean and orderly conditions in department.
- Issues medical supplies to outpatient JPS Connection patients within established guidelines.
- Checks clinical areas on a daily basis to ensure soiled equipment is removed and properly cleaned.
- Rounds clinical area managers on a monthly basis to ensure customer satisfaction and to address equipment issues.
- Coordinates with clinical staff to ensure specialty carts contain the appropriate supplies to administer patient care.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- 6 months of healthcare experience.
