POSITION SUMMARY:
This role involves aiding in the organization of production and blending schedules, supporting workflow processes, and contributing to project teams associated with the work group. This position also assists Value Stream Team Leaders with activities and fills in on the production floor as required.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operate various material handling equipment, such as standup and sit-down forklifts, walkie-riders, and material tuggers.
Maintain accurate records of all materials and weigh them when necessary.
Ensure inventory documentation is up-to-date through computer transactions.
Stretch wrap materials as required.
Dispose of scrap tubs when necessary.
Change batteries of equipment when required.
Physically exert effort to perform job duties.
Maintain operator certification for material handling equipment.
Promote professionalism among all associates, internal and external customers alike.
Observe and adhere to all safety measures and practices, including 5S+ safety guidelines.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Collaborate with the Natural High-Performance Team to identify opportunities and areas for improvement.
Participate on project teams, star point teams, and kaizen events as required.
Attend and take part in all training opportunities necessary to develop in the role.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS/ SCOPE:
Report directly to Value Stream Team Leader.
Work closely with other departments to resolve issues with processes and equipment.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
The employee may encounter:
High noise levels from operating machines and equipment.
Physical hazards from operating machines and moving reels.
Exposure to irritating fumes.
Work in areas where safety equipment will be required (steel toe shoes, eye protection, hearing protection, high visibility clothing).
Be required to stand for extended periods of time. Walking, pushing, pulling, reaching, bending, turning, twisting, squatting, and lifting may be performed regularly.
Have to use manual dexterity to a high degree, which could be performed under restrictive conditions.
Be flexible with hours and be available for overtime at short notice.
The employee may be required to follow other job-related instructions and to perform other job-related duties as requested, subject to all applicable state and federal laws.
