We are looking to fill a Material Handler/Forklift Operator position at a national manufacturer of insulation products in Byron Center, MI. They develop and manufacture expanded polystyrene insulation products for construction, packaging, and OEM products. This company focuses on creating a positive work environment and puts emphasis on their employees to train them and develop them into leaders.

Material Handler/Forklift Operator Responsibilities:

• Moving trucks in the yard to and from the parking lot and loading docks
• Maintain the trailer inventory and material and update the trailer board
• QC checks, counting, assuring that everything is verified
• Loading finished product onto trailer for shipping with forklift and by hand
• Emptying recycling containers and assist with grinding materials and recycling
• Keeping the yard clear of snow and areas such as walkways, exit rows and work areas clean and neat
• Assisting with production as needed

Material Handler/Forklift Operator Qualifications:

• Valid Drivers License/ CDL-A License/Forklift License
• Prior experience or training driving switcher truck and backing trailers into the loading dock
• Flexible to work in different departments
• Able to lift up to 70 pounds
• Able to work outside in all weather conditions
• Able to operate a snowblower
• Possess basic computer skills for data entry

Schedule & Pay:

• 3rd Shift: Monday - Friday 11:00pm - 7:30am or until the workload is completed
• Pay: $20/hr
