Job Summary

We are looking for a candidate that is positive, self-motivated, detailed oriented, and can lead a quality staff. This is a unique opportunity to join our team at Pennsylvania’s Outdoor Adventure Headquarters, Seven Springs Mountain Resort, Inc. The Massage Therapists primary responsibility is to relieve discomfort and ease muscle tension for their clients. Our Therapists are trained and skilled in massage therapy to relax overworked and tired muscles; to treat pain that results from any number of ailments; to aid in the rehabilitation of athletic injuries; and to support overall good health. Massage Therapists must be certified from an accredited program

• Starting Wage: $30 / hour

  • If hired into a tipped position, guaranteed to make a minimum of $30 / hour inclusive of gratutities & spa commision

• Shift & Schedule Availability: Full Time - Year Round

Job Responsibilities

• 
  Before the massage begins, the therapist should confer with clients and learn their medical history and what problems they may have with stress or pain. This helps to determine what type of massage would be the most beneficial.

• The massage therapist must gauge the condition of the client’s soft tissues, the joint function and quality, range of motion, and muscle strength.

• The therapist must propose a specific treatment plan for the client.

• When the client’s needs have been established, the massage therapist massages the soft tissues and muscles to provide the treatment that has been determined.

• The therapist prepares and blends massage oils and applies them during the massage.

• Provide consistent professional massage and body treatments in accordance with Seven Springs level of service and experience.

• Perform prep work, properly clean and restock room as required.

• Uphold the standards of sanitation and sterilization as directed by law and Seven Spring Policies and Procedures.

• Assist spa staff in ensuring cleanliness of front of house and back of house areas, as well as assist in restocking and organizing linens, towels, robes, etc. when needed.

• Actively promote the spa, treatments and services and retail, as well as programs, promotions and/or discounts available.

• Other duties assigned

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year related experience.

• 18 years of age or older.

• Current license/certification/registration required; graduation from recognized massage school and/or national massage certification is required.

The budgeted range starts at $30 - $40. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience.
