Scope: Opens for a variety of manufacturing opportunities in our Jamestown facility. Entry level to skilled operator positions available, including Packaging, Assembly, General Labor, Saw Operators, Boring Machine Operators, Edge Band Operators, Lift Operators, on both 1st and 2nd shift. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: • Labor Category - Hourly • Expected schedule – Monday through Thursday 1st Shift: 5:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
OT when necessary 2nd Shift: 3:45p.m. - 2:15a.m. Work Environment: • While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in a manufacturing environment High noise level Temperature fluctuates with season Works around forklift and large machinery Percentage of Travel – 0% Percentage of Office – 0% Percentage of Manufacturing– 100% Percentage of Distribution – 0% Physical Demands: • The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle, feel, or operate objects, tools or controls, and reach with hands and arms.
The employee is frequently required to stand, talk and hear. Constant heavy lifting Required Education and Experience: • Required to understand and communicate in English • Manufacturing or warehouse experience is a plus • (Machine Operator roles) 6 months to 1 year of applicable manufacturing/machine operator experience required Competencies/Skills: • Quality Management - Looks for ways to improve and promote quality, attention to detail and accuracy • Listens and gets clarification. • Teamwork - Supports everyone’s efforts to succeed. • Ethics - Treats people with respect.
