Job Description
General Factory Labor

• Perform general labor and assembly duties
• Work according to the schedule received from Production Manager and/or as instructed by supervisor or team leader.
• Follow all safety rules and procedures throughout the facility according to company’s policies.
• Work effectively to meet or exceed productivity goals while maintaining high quality standards.
• Perform material handling activities throughout the plant as directed.
• Assist with loading and unloading cycles of the equipment as directed by the supervisor or team leader.
• Operate basic power tools with consistent safety and accuracy.
• Operate manual material handling equipment such as hand jacks and wheeled carts safely.
• Maintain the work area clean, safe and organized.
• Lift and carry products as needed. Load and unload products or raw materials to and from loading dock.
• Manage housekeeping activities when requested including the collection and disposal of the garbage, production waste and equipment clean up. Assist as required with recycling activities.

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to
stand, walk, sit, bend, twist, use hands and fingers, handle or feel objects, tools or
control; talk, hear; reach with hands and arms.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to perform manual labor.
Maintain high work ethic standards and treat all the coworkers with respect.

Qualifications / Requirements

• High school diploma or its equivalent preferred but not necessary.
• Lift, carry, push, pull, and/or move up to 45 pounds in weight.
• Ability to read instruction and to follow directions.
• The ability to perform basic mathematical computations desired but not necessary.
• Ability to stand and walk for one 8 hour shift and occasional overtime. Work includes both inside and outside environments, in varying temperatures and conditions.
• Exposure to machinery and vehicular traffic.
• Ability to read a tape measure
