United Displaycraft is looking to add a Manufacture Engineer to its team in Des Plaines, IL. Responsibilities:

Production engineer's main responsibilities are to create routing sheets for domestic and import orders.

  • Troubleshoot new or existing product problems involving designs, materials, or processes
  • Investigate or resolve operational problems, such as material use variances or bottlenecks.
  • Identify opportunities or implement changes to improve manufacturing processes or products to reduce cost.
  • Incorporate new manufacturing methods or processes to improve existing operations.
  • Review product designs for manufacturability or completeness.
  • Prepare documentation for new manufacturing processes or engineering procedures.
  • Communicate manufacturing capabilities, production schedules or other information to facilitate production processes.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Develop technical methods or processes.
  • Implement design or process improvements
  • Provide technical guidance to other personnel.
  • Evaluate designs or specifications to ensure quality
  • Read current literature, talks with colleagues, participate in educational programs or workshops.
  • Update technical knowledge


Qualifications:

  • Degree of Industrial Engineering or Engineering Technologies
  • Knowledge of materials and manufacturing techniques
  • Good computer skills including Solid Works or AutoCAD and Office products
  • 3 to 5 years of experience, a plus
  • Bilingual (English, Polish or Spanish), a plus
  • Any previous experience in the POP industry, a plus
