Overview:

Amyx is seeking to hire a Manager for Audio Visual Support to support our DOJ Civilian Help Desk contract in the Washington, DC area.

Responsibilities:
  • Understanding of AV installation, knowledge base needed to build a new AV system, fundamental skills needed to turn on the AV system, installation skills needed to build an AV system and adjust an AV system for optimal performance.
  • Develop and implement communication tools for use between remote sites leveraging VTC and A/V industry standards and wide area network (WAN) technologies as applicable to VTC operations.
  • Test equipment and functionality
Qualifications:
Shall poses the following certifications:
i. A help desk management certification for example Certified Customer Service Professional (CCSP) to obtain technical and non-technical skillsets required to effectively and efficiently manage help desk operations.
ii. Crestron Digital Media Networking Certification. (DM-NVX-N) to assist the government with establishing the appropriate configurations of existing AV equipment.
iii. An audio visual certified technology specialist for example Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) CTS-I
iv. Expert knowledge in using Microsoft Teams, Cisco WebEx and Zoom.

Physical Demands

Employee needs to be able to sit at a workstation for extended periods; use hand(s) to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Most positions require ability to work on desktop or laptop computer for extended periods of time reading, reviewing/analyzing information, and providing recommendations, summaries and/or reports in written format. Must be able to effectively communicate with others verbally and in writing. Employee may be required to occasionally lift and/or move moderate amounts of weight, typically less than 20 pounds. Regular and predictable attendance is essential.
