I. POSITION SUMMARY:

Maintenance Technicians perform duties to properly maintain all facilities, including: patient rooms, offices, community rooms, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, porches, patios, fitness center, laundry rooms, nurses stations, lecture halls, etc. The focus is on keeping our entire campus in working order and, to provide a safe place for our patients to get the care they need.

II. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform all Painting needs and touch up painting of all buildings.
• Perform all basic maintenance responsibilities across the entire campus
• Perform troubleshooting procedures related to the functioning of all company equipment, appliances, vehicles, machinery, etc
• Perform repairs in a responsible and safe manner
• Perform basic repairs that include skills in: carpentry, plumbing, glass replacement, painting, masonry, grounds keeping, appliance repair, basic electrical wiring, auto mechanics, small engine repair, etc
• Timely response to staff and patient maintenance requests
• Timely response to calls from housekeeping to address problems
• Move furniture and equipment when necessary
• Maintain the property for inclement weather salting, scraping, shoveling, etc
• Blowing off all sidewalks and porches regularly to keep them clear of leaves and debris
• Performs other duties as assigned by Maintenance Director or Executive Director

III. ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:

A. Education and Experience:

• Maintenance team experience preferred

B. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Basic knowledge of repair and maintenance work
• Be an example of our core values daily and hold yourself accountable to company standards and policies and procedures
• Communicate effectively with members of management, coworkers, and patients
• Ability to quickly move between jobs, tasks, and assignments

C. Physical Requirements:

• Able to walk approximately 5 miles during shift
• Able to bend, kneel, and stretch
• Able to be continually physically active for hours at a time
• Able to frequently ascend and descend stairs
• Able to lift and move up to 100 pounds

D. Other Requirements:

• If recovering, 6 months of verifiable sobriety
• Must have a valid Tennessee Drivers License
• Willingness to work in inclement weather
• Must be able to work in a constant state of alertness as to perform the job in a safe manner
• Pass a criminal background check for violent crimes
• Pass a urine drug screen and random drug screens
