Position Summary:

Maintain and repair all aspects of building and equipment. Adapt to procedures, processes, tools, equipment, and techniques to accomplish the requirements of the day-to-day operations under minimal supervision.

Responsibilities:

• Repair and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment, such as motors, pumps, belts, fans, air conditioners, etc. on machine tools and CNC machines.
• Disassemble machines and repair or replace broken parts.
• Examine mechanical equipment to diagnose issues.
• Rig and move equipment using forklifts and/or overhead cranes.
• Install or assist contractors in mechanical installation of new or relocated equipment.
• Adjust functional parts of mechanical devices as necessary.
• Perform preventative maintenance tasks on equipment that could include lubrication, replacement of disposable and wear parts, alignment checks, adjustments, and diagnostics.
• Inspect completed repairs.
• Assist supervisors and engineers in the specification and selection of replacement parts, needed tools, and equipment.
• Limited operation of manual and CNC machines for diagnostics or to modify or make repair parts.
• Maintain and repair the building, such as welding, carpentry, plumbing, painting, etc.
• Ability to create custom items with a variety of materials such as metals, wood, 80/20 aluminum extrusions.
• Communicate internally with contacts outside of work group to resolve issues and/or to collaborate on work procedures, including team projects and kaizens.
• Communicate with external contacts by telephone, writing, or in person for ongoing service, diagnosing issues, acquiring information, or ordering parts by providing detailed information concerning equipment repairs, issues, or questions.
• Ability to carry out assigned tasks independently.
• Serve as a resource to others in the resolution of complex problems and issues.
• Maintain a clean and safe workplace in accordance with Regal Rexnord policies, 6s, procedures, and in line with Regal Rexnord core values.

Experience and Skill Required

• 10 or more relevant years of maintenance experience in an industrial environment or an equivalent combination of experience and education (technical degree or apprenticeship). Journeyman preferred.
• Effectively communicate and work in a team environment.
• Accurately read and comprehend moderately complex material (instruction manuals, procedural manuals, warning labels, electrical prints, ladder diagrams, blueprints, charts, technical repair manuals, etc.).
