Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic
Location: Amelia, OH
Pay: Based on experience
Shift: Night Shift, 12 hour shifts 6pm – 6:30am; 4 on – 4 off
JOB OVERVIEW: Our Maintenance Mechanic Performs routine, emergency and preventive maintenance work on office and plant equipment, machines and building facilities.
JOB DUTIES:
- Performs routine, emergency and preventive maintenance work on office and plant equipment, machines and building facilities
- Assist in maintaining plant security
- Maintain equipment and tools
- Dispose of waste materials, empty containers and piece drums accordingly
- Calibrate equipment as needed/required
- Keep work areas clean
- Can perform up to 60% of procedures within department

Maintenance Mechanic Requirements:
- High School diploma/GED
- Ability to read and write and do simple arithmetic
- Working knowledge of mechanics
- Ability to read blue prints and sketches
- Knowledge of pipe fitting, electrical wiring and general mechanics
- Must be capable of lifting up to 55 lbs. and stand on feet for long periods of time
- Must be familiar and thoroughly experienced in all facets of maintenance:
- Mechanical: Pumps (positive displacement and centrifugal), drives (gearbox, belt, chain, hydraulic, couplings, motor-electric, motors-air, bearings, shafts, nuts, bolts, taps and dies.
- Electrical: High voltage 460 volt 3 phase, motor controls, low voltage (120V power and control wiring), AC and DC systems. Computer controlled systems.
- Utilities: Piping (water, air and steam) Boilers - understand Steam condensate system - tracing, coils, traps and pumps. Air Compressor system - including filters, regulators, dryers and lubricators. HVAC - air handling, blowers, dust collectors.
- Vehicles: Lift trucks - electric, battery and hydraulics.
Physical Requirements:
Your work environment may be dusty and may cause some staining to shoes and clothing in some locations due to the nature of our products. Working in a manufacturing environment, you will be required to stand, bend, kneel and lift up to 50 lbs. as needed throughout the duration of your shift. Personal Protective Equipment will be required such as safety glasses, safety gloves, respirator or dust mask and protective footwear and/or uniforms. Overtime may be available and required at times, due to customer demands.
