JOB SUMMARY:

The Facility Maintenance Team Member will be responsible for the physical maintenance of the multiple facilities including equipment, building and property.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Demonstrate experience utilizing Lean/5S tools and leading cost saving initiatives to drive down waste.
• Determines and oversees needed preventive maintenance of buildings, HVAC systems, electrical systems and stretch wrappers.
• Ensures inventory of needed maintenance supplies.
• Maintains relations with local vendors and places orders for building, construction, and maintenance supplies.
• Effectively manage Company resources and ensure efficient operations of Facility Maintenance with minimal staff resources
• Reviews annual contracts and coordinating contractors for various jobs.

• Light plumbing
• Light electrical (
• Light carpentry and construction (Signage, door/window framing, etc.)
• Landscaping support (herbicide and pesticide application, touch up)
• Fire suppression (sprinkler) system maintenance and testing
• Painting

• Performs other duties as assigned

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

None.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

• Proficient in using the Internet to research information, as well as MS Outlook; MS Excel and MS Word.
• Minimum five years in managing a maintenance program
• Strong electrical experience
• Welding experience
• Good verbal, written skills
• Ability to work on a team as well as unsupervised
• Strong communication skills; thorough and attentive to details; able to prioritize and multitask; proactive and deadline-oriented.
• Ability to read and understand work orders, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

EDUCATION:

High School Diploma and five (5) years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED:

South Carolina Driver’s License or equivalent

Fork lift certified

Arc flash certified

DOT and hazardous waste certified

Licensed Electrician-Journeyman

Welding certified

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Must be able to read, interpret, and design documents pertinent to maintenance responsibilities including instruction and repair manuals, safety and operating procedures, and Company documents.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete and abstract variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
