SURESTAFF is immediately hiring for an experienced Industrial Maintenance Mechanic for a large, established client located in North Chicago, IL. Industrial Maintenance Mechanic will ensure that equipment and machinery are working at optimal efficiency to produce and manufacture products safely and on time. This position will perform preventative electrical and mechanical maintenance on machinery involving replacing, repairing, and cleaning equipment and/or component parts. This position will entail standing for long periods of time and lifting up to 50 pounds during shift. SURESTAFF is invested in their team members! All temp-to-hire employees are offered competitive compensation (up to $33.50/hr) as well as a benefits package including health insurance (medical, dental, and vision). Generous referral bonuses are available upon hire. Available shifts include 3rd 10:00pm-6:30am . Overtime is available on a first come, first serve basis.

- Perform preventative maintenance on production equipment.
- Repair all production equipment as needed.
- Perform general housekeeping duties.
- Update equipment, machinery, and tools as needed.
- Comply with GMP, safety, OSHA, and audit standards.
- 3+ years’ experience in production, manufacturing, or industrial environments.
- Previous mechanic or machine maintenance experience in manufacturing or production.
- Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting knowledge
- Knowledge of Steam Generators and their care
- Experience with food safety preferred
