Maintenance Mechanic Job at Safe Foods | PSSI
GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for performing all aspects of mechanical, electrical, and instrument maintenance. This includes corrective, predictive, and preventive maintenance on equipment per a work schedule. *THIS IS A SAFETY- SENSITIVE JOB FOR PURPOSES OF THE ARKANSAS MEDICAL MARIJUANA AMENDMENT. *
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1.Repair equipment as needed (pumps, agitators, mechanical seals, instruments, etc.).
2.Perform work per documented repair and safety procedures for critical equipment (pumps, agitators, compressors, flow meters, pressure transmitters, etc.). Provide input for needed procedure updates.
3.Perform preventive maintenance tasks per Preventive Maintenance program requirements.
4.Provide input for Preventive Maintenance plan and procedure updates.
5.Complete weekly planned work schedule.
6.Escort and work with maintenance contractors (HVACR, Fork Truck, elevator, etc.).
7.Ensure integrity of work order system data (i.e. ensure work orders are written and closed properly for maintenance work).
8.Perform Predictive Maintenance (PdM) tasks.
9.Carry out lubrication tasks per the Lubrication program.
10.Properly dispose of used lubricants.
11.Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty mentioned satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school or GED, plus specialized schooling and/or on the job education in a specific skill area; e.g. data processing, clerical/administrative, equipment operation, etc, plus 4 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
