Summary of Job Scope and Expectations:

The Mailroom Assistant (NSK & Mail) is responsible for meeting the company’s mail needs by receiving all incoming packages, notifying recipients, and distributing the mail. This position coordinates company vehicle rentals. The Mailroom Assistant coordinates with other departments to prepare new store kits and packages them for delivery to the stores.

Descriptions
  • Responsible for meeting the company’s mail needs by receiving and sorting all incoming mail/packages, notifying recipients, and distributing them accurately and on a timely basis.
  • Coordinates company vehicle rentals, booking car requests, checking cars in and out, and reporting any maintenance needs to the maintenance team. Follows up with associates regarding any incidents such as violation tickets and damages.
  • Packs the New Store Kits, arranges for pickup, ensures on-time preparation with accuracy, and coordinates with other departments for any special items and accommodations. Keeps records for NSK, including serial numbers for equipment as needed.
  • Supports maintenance for mailroom-related equipment, including postage machine, check sealer, and folding machine.
  • Prints and distributes checks as needed, serving as back-up for other Mailroom Assistant. Ensures checks are processed accurately and distributed on a timely basis.
  • Supports archiving document tasks and empties shredding bins as needed.
  • Serves as a back-up for other Mailroom members for FedEx-related operations, including ordering supplies, coordinating special shipping, and processing invoices.
  • Provides customer service in-person and through phone calls and emails to Operations and to SC associates related to the mailroom and warehouse in a timely and courteous manner.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma required; college degree preferred
  • Some relevant work experience required
  • Valid California driver’s license required
  • Successful completion of annual store training
