What we are looking for:

The Mechanic/Machinist performs many of the responsibilities of the Maintenance Technician in addition to operating a variety of machining equipment.

Shift Available: 1st Shift

Machinist

  • Plans machining by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications, drawings.
  • Operates a variety of machining equipment, including but not limited to: Mills, Lathes, Saws, Measurement Devices, Grinders, and hand tools.
  • Produces parts as per specifications, maintains tolerances and finishes appropriately.
  • Works with machining requestors and engineers to ensure understanding and expectations.
  • Plans stock inventory by checking stock to determine amount available; anticipating needed stock; placing and expediting orders for stock; verifying receipt of stock.
  • Tests and diagnoses malfunctioning machinery and collaborates with other maintenance technicians to develop and install proper repairs.

General Maintenance

  • Replaces air conditioner filters, damaged ceiling tiles, floor tiles and wall coverings.
  • Replaces gauges, valves, pressure regulators and related equipment.
  • Installs and aligns drivelines.
  • Purchases appropriate parts to repair, replace or otherwise make functional any of the above mentioned areas.
  • Works on cross functional teams comprised of engineering and manufacturing resources on electrical projects.
  • Assists with training and providing guidance to other technicians as needed.
  • Performs, assists and guides repairs, installations and troubleshooting of all Company equipment with contractors and other Company personnel.
  • Performs preventative maintenance activities in accordance with established schedules.
  • Performs all duties within Quality guidelines, ISO 13485, and other client requirements.
  • Performs routine building maintenance.
  • Documents work performed and submits completed work orders in a timely manner.
  • Follows all applicable Company work instructions, S.O.P.’s, and guidelines.

Other Duties

  • Adheres to GMP/QSR requirements and follows applicable QMS documentation (e.g., SOP’s, Work Instructions) to successfully accomplish job requirements.
  • Follows Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) policies and procedures, including wearing hearing protection, safety shoes, gloves, eye protection as required.
  • Follows gowning procedures in designated areas.
  • Follows established safety requirements and adheres to the Health Safety and Environment Management System.
  • Performs other job-related responsibilities as assigned.

Who you are:

  • Vocational Technical degree/certificate or equivalent training and work experience.
  • Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, machinery and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to operate mechanic equipment and tools.
  • Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, machinery and mechanical systems.
  • Willingness to accept change, learn and work with new technology.
  • Ability to install or upgrade electrical systems of machine wiring and electrical components of machinery using schematics or PLC technology.
  • Ability to manage a technical project, understanding the client needs, how the needs relate to the scope of the project and how changes will affect other systems.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with proven ability to get along well with others and work in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, customer service focus and professionalism.
