MACHINE OPERATORS (2nd and 3rd Shifts) Job at Colbert Packaging Corporation
Colbert Packaging is a carton manufacturing company for Pharmaceutical and Consumer Goods located in Elkhart, IN. We are currently hiring Machine Operators to run our Printing Presses, Paper Die Cutters, Paper Sheeter (Cutter), and Folding-Gluer machines. These would be for our off shifts (2pm-10pm and 10pm-6am), Monday through Friday, with some weekends and overtime. Our Paper Sheeter schedule is 12hours (6pm-6am and 6pm-6am). Training will be provided.
Duties
· Set up machines (calibration, cleaning etc.) to start a production cycle
· Control and adjust machine settings (e.g. speed) as needed
· Inspect product with precision and measuring tools
· Fix issues that might occur during the shift (troubleshooting)
· Check output to spot any machine-related mistakes or flaws (quality control)
· Keep records of approved and defective units or final products
· Maintain activity logs
Requirements
· Ability to read a tape measure
· Attention to detail
· Teamwork and communication skills
· Must be able to work both independently and cooperatively with a team
· Able to multitask
· Able to meet deadlines
· Be able to lift up to 50 pounds
· Preferred applicants will also have a background, knowledge, and experience with machine operating and/or mechanical experience
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $25.00 per hour
