Seeking a Machine operator with Printing industry experience to work in Weston. This candidate needs to understand production and can set up and operate all cutting, folding, saddle stitching and binding finishing equipment. Accountable for efficient operation of all finishing equipment, and quality of the finished product. Position reports to Department Manager and/or Department Floor Supervisor.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 Maintain quality and production standards by company policies and procedures.

 Thorough working knowledge inclusive of Make-ready, Run, along with basic maintenance requirements on all finishing equipment.

 Set up, operate, and adjust equipment, and meet established production standards regularly.

 Observe and monitor machine operations to detect malfunctions.

 Responsible for accurate time keeping and data collection through the MIS system.

 Read and understand the Job “Work Order” for instructions and specifications specific to manufacturing a job. Produce all jobs according to the specifications and instructions within the Work Order.

 Ability to maintain confidentiality on sensitive/confidential documents and all aspects of the job.

 Ability to recognize the importance of safety in the workplace, follow safety rules, practice safe work habits, utilize appropriate safety equipment and report unsafe conditions to the appropriate administrator.

 Follows all required safety procedures and communicates all concerns regarding safety to the department manager

QUALIFICATIONS:

 Individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

 Must have the necessary machine skills to operate all Finishing Equipment effectively and efficiently.

 Quality conscious and detail oriented.

 Ability to read and understand written instructions and carry out tasks to meet instructions.
