Position Summary
The Machine Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining automation equipment as well as assist with general production requirements.

Key Duties And Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair ORBIS automated production equipment including, but not limited to, machinery, equipment, physical structures, plumbing, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulics
- Follow blueprints, specifications, diagrams and service manuals to repair and maintain equipment
- Develop and maintain PM programs
- Develop and maintain inventory controls for repair parts and tool inventories
- Support existing and future projects during installations, start-up, and long term operation
- Assist in daily/weekly training warehouse personnel
- Assist with special machinery and expansion projects as directed by management
- Continuously seeking to improve upon existing methods of operation, by research and development to improve our safety, quality and cost performance
- Proactively investigate needs, evaluate issues, and present/recommend alternatives in an effort to decrease overall facility operational downtime thus increasing overall operational effectiveness
- Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) as identified by ORBIS corporate
EDUCATION / CERTIFICATIONS

High School Diploma or Equivalent

Industrial / manufacturing - mechanical & electrical, electronics preferred

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Work Experience Required
3-5 years of experience in general maintenance machine operations, forklifts and general facility maintenance
3-5 years of experience in general maintenance machine operations, forklifts and general facility maintenance
Knowledge, Skills, Or Abilities Desired
- Proven planning and organizational skills with the ability to handle high volume mechanical requirements
- Demonstrated successes in handling multiple high priority projects, in addition to normal responsibilities
- Willing to work non-traditional hours including nights, weekends and holidays with on-call availability as needed
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent computer skills-Word and Excel proficiency
- Knowledge of OSHA and Lockout-Tagout procedures and regulations
- Knowledge of air compressors
- Ability to work safely with 3 phase 480 volt power systems
- Knowledge of Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) systems and troubleshooting
- Previous Forklift Certification preferred
- Ability to quickly interpret, analyze, and report issues with machines/facility components
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Travel Requirements
Ability/willingness to travel to other Service Centers to assist with troubleshooting or installation of new equipment
