You will have the opportunity to work as a Robot Operator on 1st shift. This position involves the operation of a Robot to create insulated glass units. The starting rate is $20.00/ hour. Must have flexibility with work availability (7:00 am – 7:00 pm). The standard shift is Monday thru Friday but may require some Saturdays.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• 
  Operate Robot in a manner that will not cause damage to the product or injury to self or others
• Learn and understand ASTM and other quality standards
• Monitor and report any equipment maintenance issues to ensure Robot is operating to specifications
• Ability to perform documented start-up and shut-down procedures
• Ability to effectively communicate with the other employees on the line about quality or mechanical issues
• Operate all sections/stations of the work center for employee training and troubleshooting purposes
• Train new hires and/or transfers into the department
• Check machinery for proper function and report to the supervisor if necessary
• Ensure that work effort is being applied effectively and that company quality standards and production capacities for the shift are met.
• Regular and predictable attendance, safely perform tasks, and adherence to all safety policies and procedures, are essential functions of the position.

Requirements

To be considered for a Machine operator position, the following conditions must be met:

• 
  Ability to lead by example
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Basic computer familiarity
• Read and use a tape measure
• Able to read and perform mathematical calculations and measurements with numbers, fractions, and decimals normally acquired through high school education or equivalency
• Perform work as assigned by supervisor
• Ability to complete paperwork
• Attach appropriate labels and tags to products and packages
• Notify supervisor of any mechanical or material issues
• Maintain a safe and clean work area
