This position is responsible for operating machinery to ensure the continuous flow of products thru the production process. Responsible for monitoring and adjusting machine settings as needed and notifying the supervisor if machines should require maintenance while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES MUST BE ABLE TO WORK ON FIRST SHIFT FOR 1 MONTH FOR TRAINING BEFORE GETTING MOVED TO 2ND SHIFT.
POSITION SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for operating food manufacturing machinery while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Required to set up and tear down machinery at beginning and end of production. Operate industrial meat processing equipment. Observes Tyson USDA safety and sanitation rules, utilizes proper lifting techniques to avoid injury to themselves and others, wears appropriate personal protective equipment, and other duties as required or assigned by supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Standing, walking, bending, stretching, climbing, pushing, pulling, and reaching is required. Must be able to lift 60 lbs. Minimal math and computer skills. Must be able to do repetitive work 8 to 10 hours a day. Requires ability to understand and follow verbal instructions. Work in cold and damp environment.
