The Charge Nurse is responsible for overseeing the smooth and efficient care, delegation of care and supervision of the nursing assistants throughout the shift. In addition the charge nurse is responsible for administering medications, treatments and documentation of care provided to the resident's. Implement care plans in compliance with company and federal guidelines and physician's orders. Ability to comply with Resident's Bill of Rights, HIPPA, company and departmental safety policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Excellent communication, technical, assessment and documentation skills. Genuine care for and interest in elderly and handicapped people
- Properly administer medications, perform treatments, accurately and promptly transcribe physician orders
- Participate in shift report, timely and accurate documentation of resident's. Complete Nursing assessments as required
- Implement established nursing policies and procedures, educating support staff regarding care needs of residents
- Maintain a safe work environment, comply with infection control and body mechanic procedures.

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
