This position will offer their services to Home Care by Cypress at Home which provides non-Medicare, private duty home care support.

Our LPN’s implement resident care according to the plan of care and physician/nursing orders ensuring that the highest quality of nursing care is delivered.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

• Provides skilled nursing care under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse.
• Performs selected skilled actions in the provision of curative, rehabilitative, palliative or preventative nursing care.
• Assists physicians with clinic hours in IL and provides a variety of clinical services.
• Assists the Registered Nurse in performing specialized procedures as directed by the Registered Nurse under physician’s orders.
• Fosters cooperative effort among personnel by understanding the functions of other persons involved in client care and by active participation in team and staff conferences.
• Prepares clinical and progress notes (not to include admission which is to be done by the RN).
• Assists with the rehabilitation of clients according to the medical care plan by encouraging the interests and special aptitudes of the client and encouraging clients to help themselves using their own capabilities. Reports any abnormality in the client’s range of motion, body mechanics or body alignment.
• The Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse with the education and proven clinical competence may perform certain treatments/procedures provided the Home Health Agency’s policies and the State’s Regulatory Acts allow their performance. Only advanced LPNs/LVNs with documented skill in performing these functions may:
• Administer oral/topical medications.
• Prepare Medication Planners.
• Administer injections.
• Provide non-surgical wound care.
• Check vital signs.
• Check finger stick blood sugars.
• Check pulse oximeter levels.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school in the state Florida.
• Valid Florida LPN license required.
• Current CPR certification
• Minimum 1 year experience in a home health agency or hospital setting preferred
