This position is based at our Ready Roast location in Madera, CA.

SUMMARY

This position will be responsible for multitude of administrative processes. Including managing all aspects of Shipping while also facilitating communication between Production, Sales, Quality Assurance and Supply Chain. This position will report to the Customer Service Manager.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

· Scheduling Shipping and Receiving Appointments using current ERP system to allow transparency for each department on scheduling.

· Quarterly quote Freight Lanes as directed through the Supply Chain Manager

· Manage KPI regarding FG Total Inventory Days, OTIF, Transportation Cost, Quality Shipping & Receiving (damaged incoming goods & customer complaints based on shipping) and others directed through the Supply Chain Manager

· Work with Scheduling Planner when it comes to order completion and QA for timeline on micro clearing.

· Follow up with Freight Companies to ensure customers (both internal & external) needs are met.

· Assist with freight claims & transportation issues.

· Coordinate intercompany transfers.

· Make recommendations regarding optimizing shipments, procurement, warehousing procedures and Continuous Improvement.

· Review and enforce the Company’s food safety, quality and regulatory standards.

· Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience:

· Administrative Experience with Excellent Computer Skills (MS Office a Must)

- At least 2 years of Shipping/Transportation experience.

· Bi-lingual Spanish preferred, but not required.

· Associate degree preferred (equivalent work experience will be considered for well qualified candidates).

· Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines within specified time constraints.

· Self-starter with ability to work effectively in a team environment.

· Attention to detail, organized and thorough desire for continuous improvement.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Ability to perform multiple tasks within a tight timeframe.

· Exceptional customer service skills, phone skills and professional writing ability

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Employees must wear ear protection at all times while in the plant.
