Eagle Express is hiring Transportation Dispatchers for their Freight Broker firm to perform the customer service and dispatch aspect of freight shipping.
Position Summary:

• Develop a proactive relationship with our customers by providing first-class service and transparent communication

• Handle shipment quoting for customers

• Covering available shipments through strategic negotiations with trucking companies (carriers)

• Sending dispatch documents to carriers
• Track and trace shipments; location updates; calculating ETA's

• Input/update various files and information into our database/software
• Providing problem-resolution effectively and a timely manner

Transportation Dispatcher qualifications/skills

• Comfortable with working in a fast-paced and performance driven environment while multi-tasking

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications with emphasis on Outlook, Excel, and Word

• Highly effective communication, both verbal and written (phone, email, chat)

• Focused, highly attentive to detail, organized, and able to multi task without too many mistakes or delays

• Strong work ethic with a self-starter mentality

• Confident, enthusiastic, and able to work effectively in a team/group setting, as well as independently

Schedule/compensation

• Hours: Full-time

• Schedule: core schedule is Monday-Friday, with some weekend options.

• Wage: starting $16.00-19.00 with paid training with opportunity to move up in pay and position
