Summary

Verify, pack, and manifest orders for shipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensures safety within the department is maintained at all times.
• Prepares daily, weekly, monthly and annual reports, analysis, records, and databases for assigned areas.
• Ensures that the department obtains, maintains, and/or exceeds company productivity and quality policy.
• Interacts with other employees in a polite, courteous, and productive manner.
• Responsible for adhering to and enforcing established “Work Rules.”
• Responsible for maintaining a neat, clean, and orderly work area.
• Box items
• Verify count and correctness of items and lots
• Process UPS/FedEx shipping
• Assist UPS/FedEx in loading and checking out
• Loading pallets to FedEx truck
• Will use pallet jack (in-house training available)
• Any other duties of a similar or lesser nature as required.
• Computer experience.

Education/Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED). One to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience with hand and power pallet jack.

Language Ability

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, associate personnel, and other employees of the organization.

Math Ability

Basic math skills. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent, and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to properly apply packaging to delivery, ensure tax is entered correctly, and verify shipping address and class of shipping service.

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have the ability to find and understand inventory documents. Knowledge of:

• Windows Operating System
• UPS World Ship/FedEx Manager
• SAP
• iPhone Scanner

The employee must frequently lift and/or carry up to 25 pounds repeatedly throughout the day and occasionally lift and/or carry 50 pounds. Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time, as well as frequently bend, stoop, and reach. Have good manual dexterity and motor coordination.
