Role: Responsible for overseeing the GAP program for direct and indirect loans. Ensures timely entry of contracts, correction of errors, and filing of claims. Serves as the primary point of contact and vendor liaison.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Receives and processes member financial transactions including payoffs, loan payments, and GAP payments
  • Reviews and verifies the accuracy of all GAP contracts. Works with loan officers to documentation is complete and accurate. Reviews and processes GAP fees and ensures accuracy in the GAP and warranty GLs.
  • Processes GAP claims, cancellations, and refunds. Ensures compliance with Servicemembers Civil Relief Act (SCRA). Serves as the liaison between front office and members regarding GAP inquires.
  • Serves as the vendor liaison. Generates letters of guarantee for total losses and works directly with the insurance companies to assist with account payoffs. Monitors daily/weekly reports for consumer loan accuracy. Assists with corrections as needed.
  • Performs other job related duties as assigned.

Experience: One or more years of experience in a financial institution is required. One or more years of loan servicing or lending experience in a financial institution is preferred.
Education: A high school diploma or GED is required.

  • Ability to analyze various data points and systems
  • Ability to balance workload, prioritize, multi-task throughout the workday
  • Strong computer skills with the ability to utilize various applications
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office
