The Gifford School is a private special education day school located in Weston, Massachusetts and works with students with a variety of social, emotional, and learning challenges.
We currently have a Literacy Coach position available.

Job Requirements
MA Licensure in Reading Specialist or Moderate Disabilities (5-12) preferred/or experience with systematic phonetic instruction and other reading programs
Training in and experience using a variety of systematic, phonetic instruction programs
Provide on-going individual instruction and remediation in reading skills to identified students and pushing into ELA classes to support reading instruction
Consultation to teachers in all aspects of reading (decoding, fluency, comprehension, etc), including instructional strategies
Prior experience working with children and adolescents with special needs
Solid communication, organization and writing skills
Ability to work both collaboratively and independently
Experience with children/adolescents, special education setting preferred.
Experience with IEP process.
Strengths in classroom management, collaboration, and a love of teaching.
