Line Cook
Location: Key Royale Club, Holmes Beach, FL
FLSA: Non-exempt, full or part time
Compensation Type: Hourly, overtime after 40 hours weekly
Working Hours: Flexible, Scheduled by supervisor during club restaurant hours
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner
- Follow recipes and presentation specifications
- Operate standard kitchen equipment safety and efficiently
- Assist with the cleaning and organization of kitchen and equipment
- Clean and maintain station in practicing good safety and sanitation
- Restock items as needed throughout the shift
- Complies with all health and safety regulations within the kitchen area
- Performs other duties as directed by the Kitchen Manager
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1 year experience in cooking or food prep
- Driver’s license and reliable transportation
- ServSafe Certification (Can obtain after employment)
Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Cooking and food prep, hot line and cold line
- Knowledge of various cooking methods, equipment and procedures
- Operate restaurant kitchen equipment
- Some Banquet experience
- Follows safety precautions and operates safety equipment – fire extinguishers, etc
- Ability to handle multiple tasks
