Our UT Health Tyler hospital is seeking an experienced Lifeguard . We are looking for your experience, knowledge and patient care skills in our Olympic Center where you will be responsible for:
Responsibilities:
What You Will Be Doing:
  • The Lifeguard is responsible for ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment for members, guests and patients using the aquatics facility.
  • Welcomes all users with a warm and sincere greeting when they enter the aquatics area.
  • Assists the aquatics manager in monitoring the pool environment to ensure that all local health codes are met.
  • Constantly monitors user activity within the aquatics area to ensure their safety.
  • Upholds facility rules and regulations to maintain a safe and pleasing environment for all users.
  • Facilitates appropriate member activities including lap swim, proper lane usage and spa usage.
  • Maintains the facility and equipment including fitness equipment, surfaces, lane ropes and pump room equipment.
  • Tests and appropriately adjusts all pool water chemistry.
  • Attends all regularly scheduled staff meetings and participates in required training
Qualifications:

Education:
  • High School diploma
Experience:
  • 12 months experience as an American Red Cross Lifeguard or equivalent
Certification:
  • American Red Cross Lifeguard Training or equivalent certification
  • American Heart Association CPR for the Professional Rescuer or equivalent certification
  • May be required to obtain and maintain Certified Pool Operator license
