The Sandpiper Bay Resort in Port St. Lucie, Florida is currently looking for experienced, certified lifeguards to join our team!

Job Responsibilities:

• Maintain constant surveillance of patrons in the water
• Provide emergency care and treatment as required until the arrival of emergency medical services
• Able to act quickly and appropriately to secure the safety of patrons in the event of an emergency
• Opening and closing the pool and beach each day according to scheduled hours
• Closely monitoring activities related to the pool and/or beach area, identifying any safety issues throughout shift
• Directing swimmers out of water in dangerous conditions
• Closely monitoring weather reports to make sure guests remain safe
• Organizing and overseeing pool parties and events
• Maintaining a clean pool and beach environment
• Present professional appearance and attitude at all times, and maintain a high standard of customer service
• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
• Prepare and maintain appropriate activity reports
• Knowledge of customer service standards and procedures
• Able to follow routine verbal and written instructions

Job Requirements:

• 2+ years' lifeguard experience preferred, but not required
• Must hold a current Lifeguard certification in good standing
• Ability to work on weekends and holidays
• Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations
• Highly skilled in the application of lifeguarding surveillance and rescue techniques
• Strong knowledge of CPR and emergency medical procedures
• Ability to accurately prepare routine administrative paperwork
• Excellent customer service skills

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $12.00 - $13.00 per hour
