Licensed Vocational Nurse Job at ACI Federal™
ACI Federal is seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our team!
You will be responsible for delivering high quality care to assigned patients. Expect to work as part of a collaborative and supportive community of professionals aiding their patients with the best treatment.
Job Duties and Function:
- Performs health duties within the scope of LVN practice/protocol.
- Administers immunizations and other injections as directed by the RN or assists other nurses as requested.
- Gathers blood and other specimen samples as needed.
- Documents appropriate information in client records and reports appropriate information to primary health care provider(s).
- Maintains confidentiality of client information as outlined in HIPAA guidelines.
- Issues and educates clients on various medications and importance of adherence to medications.
- Gathers information and prepares LVN activity reports included but not limited to monthly TDH vaccines.
- Monitors medical supply inventory and accounts for vaccines and testing materials.
- Assists in training new employees as needed.
- Performs all other related duties as assigned.
- Administer vaccines i.e. Covid-19, monkeypox, etc. via intradermal injection and support testing efforts
- Comfortable working with patients whose first language is not English and/or patients with one or more communicable diseases.
Responsibilities:
- Care for ill, injured, or convalescing patients
- Provide basic patient care and treatment
- Collaborate with registered nurses to administer prescribed medications
- Sterilize and prepare medical tools and equipment
- Educate and update patients on medical treatments
- Ability to build rapport with patients
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in nursing or other medical fields
- Familiarity with medical tools and equipment
- Compassionate and caring demeanor
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Active Compact or Texas State Vocational Nurse License
