We are a small in-home childcare that is seeking part time help during peak times during our work week. i am looking for coverage for vacations as well. As space allows you are welcome to bring your child(ren) with you ages 6 weeks – 12 yrs old. At this time, I do not offer insurance, paid time off or benefits. I can offer hands on learning & experience with children of various ages birth – 12. Help you understand the workings of a DCFS licensed childcare and how we are different from unlicensed providers/ nannies/ babysitters. I will be able to Provide some DCFS trainings & mentoring options during work hours to add to your experience. Some of the duties for this position are listed below. - Supervise and monitor the safety of children
- Reliable, prompt & good communication skills are a must
- Prepare meals and organize mealtimes and snacks for children
- Change the diapers of infants and toddlers & Help Children keep good hygiene
- Organize activities & help to implement a curriculum independently
- Play with children on their level: small group, whole group. Rotate centers and generate age appropriate play
- Keep records of children’s progress, routines, and interest
- Be independent & make decisions based on the situation (every child is different) ask for help when needed. NO SUCH THING AS A STUPID QUESTION
Job Type: Temporary
Pay: From $12.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
COVID-19 considerations:
All staff & parents are fully vaccinated. All children are fully or partially vaccinated for
covid19. Hand sanitizer & hand washing is constant. Masks encouraged and provided if signs of any type of sickness is present.
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Bartlett, IL 60103: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
Experience:
- Teaching: 1 year (Preferred)
- Childcare: 1 year (Preferred)
License/Certification:
- Child Development Associate Certification (Preferred)
