LCSW/LPC/LMFT - $30.91/hr - $31.41/hr

Spanish Language Differential - $2.50/hr

POSITION SUMMARY: This Licensed Community-based (bilingual preferred) clinician position provides therapy to children and families experiencing a high level of mental health needs in the greater Northeast Denver; Montbello and Green Valley Ranch neighborhoods. In addition, the therapist will be available to support the neighboring school community including children, parents, staff and administrators of Academy 360 and other neighboring schools as needed. Services will consist of individual therapy, family therapy, treatment with parents, and case management with a range of trauma-informed interventions. The therapist will be a consultant to building staff members and provide a wide range of prevention, early intervention, and treatment services to community members. The therapist will be expected to build meaningful relationships, maintain good boundaries and be responsive to the needs of a diverse community. Qualified applicants will have experience working with and engaging diverse populations. This position will be working with children and adults across the lifespan.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Provide intensive individual therapy, family therapy and crisis intervention in a community-based setting in English and/or Spanish. Collaborate with internal and external partners in support of the family's case management needs. Provide advocacy when needed.
  • Develop treatment plans; monitor treatment progress and follow-up.
  • Proficient and skilled working in an inclusive, culturally sensitive and reflective manner.
  • Actively develop relationships with community partners, members and organizers; as well as provide support where needed.
  • Must function effectively in a highly autonomous role requiring accurate clinical judgments of mental health issues
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical records consistent with WellPower standards.
  • Participate in team/department meetings, in-services, and supervisory sessions as required.
  • Perform 27-10 (M-1) "mental health hold" evaluations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION: Minimum Master's Degree in psychology, social work, or, other related human services field. Current license as a LCSW, LPC, LMFT or Licensed Psychologist by the State of Colorado. CAC II or III preferred.

EXPERIENCE: Knowledge, experience, and skill in clinical modalities used in family therapy.

Experience with cross-agency collaboration, treating aggression, family conflict, parental

depression/mental health issues, and trauma. Experience engaging the community and working

with diverse populations.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

  • Knowledge or ability to learn and practice trauma informed principles and practices.
  • Knowledge of methods of psychotherapy.
  • Competency with diversity, inclusiveness, and equity.
  • Knowledge of community resources.
  • Work independently in community settings.
  • Ability to assess crisis situations and intervene appropriately.
  • Familiarity with the DSM-V and diagnostic techniques.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in culturally sensitive and inclusive work, and ability to implement within practice.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, some evenings, and weekends.
  • Must have valid driver's license and good driving record.
  • Spanish language fluency is preferred. There is a Spanish language premium of $2.50 per hour.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist with program supervision of students/volunteers as determined appropriate.

TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Requires sitting, standing, bending and reaching. May require lifting up to 50 pounds. Requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate standard office machines such as computers, fax machines, the telephone and other office and/or clinical equipment.

MACHINES AND EQUIPMENT TO BE USED: Computers, calculators, fax machines, copiers, telephone, and a variety of other office/clerical equipment.

WORKING CONDITIONS: May require occasional evening or weekend hours.
