We are announcing an opening for a full-time Lending Trainer reporting to the VP/ Chief Lending Officer. This position is responsible for designing and facilitating job related on-boarding/training to all new and existing lenders to help them effectively perform their job responsibilities. Monitors training outcomes, acts on results and ensures training objectives are met. This position will be required to frequently travel for training needs and to fill in at other branches as a loan officer when needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Successfully train and coach new and existing lenders to achieve targeted sales, service, and quality goals. Schedules, coordinates, and delivers training for lenders at all branches.
  • Ability to design, update, present, and coordinate written training and online material. Utilize a cross functional training approach to ensure successful transfer of knowledge and abilities on various processes, procedures, policies, and applicable State and Federal regulations.
  • Collaborates with VP/CLO and AVP/CLO to identify solutions and design training procedures and strategies for lending products and services.
  • Work with the management to coach and develop individuals who are struggling to learn and apply key skills, knowledge and abilities related to their roles. Develop alternative training methods if expected improvements are not seen. Ensure all lending staff is knowledgeable in all areas of lending, Credit Union services, and delivers accurate information to internal/external members and business partners.
  • Conducts evaluations or surveys to measure the effectiveness of training programs and delivery channels. Assists with all external training.
  • Continually work with lenders to find efficiencies in loan software and programs.
  • Be a qualified loan officer to fill in at other branches when there is a need for additional loan support. Perform a wide variety of miscellaneous lending duties.
  • Must comply with all company policies and procedures, applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, all state/federal guidelines, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of lending experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience in similar training and development position preferred.
  • Prior banking/credit union experience and knowledge of regulatory compliance required. Ability to facilitate or co-facilitate small and large group quality learning experiences.
  • Candidate must have excellent leadership, communication, and delivery skills with the ability to motivate others. Goal oriented and ability to hold others accountable.
  • Time management and organization.
  • Must be fully proficient with Microsoft Suite for Excel reporting, Word documentation, PowerPoint presentations and Outlook.

Pay: $24.00 - $35.00 per hour
