Learning Development Specialist/Graphic Designer
Project Pray is looking for a learning development specialist to facilitate the creation and uploading of the curriculum for an online training platform in the area of prayer and ministry leadership. Project Pray University will include a learning center, a coaching certification center and a university.
The ideal candidate:
1. Loves the Lord and wants to work in a Christian context, with and for a ministry.
2. Has knowledge of online educational design, course building, design, student recruitment, and retention issues.
3. Is innovative and creative with regard to style, educational design, and online courses and materials.
4. Has experience in crafting compelling, effective learning messaging using instructional design techniques.
5. Can be a critical thought partner contributing to how we shape our online offerings to bring cutting-edge learning and continuously engage our learning community.
6. Is a person of prayer – and interested in helping others deepen their life of prayer.
7. Has a heart for the mission of God – and is interested in creating a global learning community to train pastors, national prayer leaders, and congregational prayer leaders worldwide.
8. Has experience in creating a learning prototype, developing, and testing self-paced online learning experiences and materials in various delivery modalities, including eLearning authoring tools (e.g., Adobe Suite, PowerPoint, PDFs, Word).
9. Can cultivate relationships with other organizations – pastors, learning facilitators, national prayer leaders, Bible Colleges - to promote Project Pray University.

10. Program Management: Implement learning programs across the business, academic, church, and personal worlds. Track and assess results – of students and partner organizations. Continually improve the application of learning to impact business and learning outcomes positively.
11. Recruit instructors to develop courses that are hosted online.
12. Work with other institutions on course and certificate credibility and mutual transfer of credits.
Qualifications
Note: PPU used the Moodle platform but found it difficult for students and lacking support
functions. We also developed a membership site using WordPress Membership Pro. We are now
migrating both the University and the Membership site to LearnWorlds.com.
- B.A. degree, preferably, M.A.
- Certification in Web design (WordPress, helpful)
- Ministry background commendable
- Bible knowledge, background
- Evangelical-Pentecostal background, Interdenominational disposition
- Understanding of prayer theology, intercession, prayer, and mission-evangelism helpful
Online Learning Systems: Knowledge of functionality and operation of online learning platforms, generally, specifically, that of LearnWorlds.com.
Curriculum Design: Knowledge of methods, tools, and techniques of curriculum design; ability to develop an instructional delivery system that meets the learning needs of a given population in a timely fashion. Note: We have several courses already built. We have textbooks and written materials for 20 courses. Our goal is a minimum of 90 online courses and three coaching certification courses (materials need to be uploaded).
Our model is bite-size learning for the western Christian, with the world in mind. Each course consists of 7-15 ‘classes/lessons that utilize a video, audio file, PDF or eBook or reading assignment, quiz, forum interaction, and at times a live segment, quiz, and practicum.

We use a Hebrew learning model that demands a practicum. One must ‘behave their belief,’ demonstrate the practical inculcation of the learning. Further, we utilize the Hebrew concept of knowledge, understanding, and wisdom – thus, what, how, and why. Western education focuses, at times, almost exclusively on knowledge acquisition, the ‘what.’ In the Hebrew model, information is incomplete until it is transformative.
Training Program Management: Knowledge of processes and procedures of training programs. The ability to design, implement, evaluate and develop training programs to achieve spiritual impact.
Effective Communication: Understanding effective communication concepts, tools, and techniques.
Additional Qualifications:
- Experience developing training curriculums and modalities, including e-learning, video,
PowerPoint, Word, and Adobe PDFs.
- Experience with eLearning tools such as the Adobe Suite and LearnWorlds.com.
- Work with a team in a highly collaborative environment.
- Ability to prioritize and adapt to shifting priorities.
- Excellent written, proofreading, and verbal communication skills.
- Creative, innovative, strategic thinker kingdom thinker.
