WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Implement, deploy, and maintain services via Kubernetes on the Google Cloud Platform.
- Own and improve internal web tools for troubleshooting and development.
- Migrate and refactor legacy systems with the latest cloud technologies in Google Cloud Platform.
- Work in a fast-paced Scrum environment in a pod of 3-5 software engineers to create, maintain, and monitor services.
- Research and design services using Google Cloud Platform’s managed services and infrastructure.
- Follow software engineering best practices in code, architecture, and testing.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE TEAM
- A fascination with researching and implementing new technologies.
- Experience in Python API/Backend development and testing.
- Experience deploying, maintaining, and monitoring scalable services for any cloud platform via CI/CD.
- Experience with SQL and noSQL databases.
- Ability to navigate ambiguous requirements through communication and iteration, creating clarity for yourself and those around you.
- Strong ownership mentality and independent work ethic.
- At least 5 years experience as a software developer.
- Excellent collaboration and interpersonal skills to foster strong team development.
BONUS EXPERIENCE
- Familiarity with Kubernetes and Google Cloud Platform’s managed services.
- Experience with frontend development via Javascript and/or Angular.
- Monitoring services like Datadog, Stackdriver and Pagerduty.
- Experience with Flask, Auth0, Docker, and REST API design.
- Documentation and ticket management via Confluence and JIRA.
